Shah Rukh is a hockey coach in 'Chak De'

Shah Rukh Khan finds himself playing a coach for a girls' hockey team in Shimit Amin's 'Chak De', filmed under the prestigious Yash Raj banner. The heroine of the film is Vidya Malvade (of 'Inteha' and 'Mashooka' fame). You may remember the two were paired earlier in a Santro ad.

Vidya has gone through an intensive two-month training at hockey camp, in order to be prepared for her role of a Sikh girl with strict parents. She wants to participate in an annual hockey tournament but her parents don't approve of it. It's somewhat similar to Parminder Nagra's role in 'Bend it like Beckham'.
